What Are some good FREE DVD Decoder Downloads?

Was using WMV and PC crashed and no more WMV DVD. Have tried Cyberlink was good for awhile now get error msg. Tried AVS and no good. Lots of Free downloads but to use $$$ Any ideas?? Oh yes, tried to uninstall Cyberlinks and not able to because parameters?? Help!
