free limewire downloads mac

Would my mac get a virus using Limewire ?

Recently bought a imac and i downloaded limewire as i cant find another music downloader for free but i also heard that limewire gives viruses but mac doesnt get viruses? so am i safe with limewire?

is there any other program i could use to work on Mac OS X spyware free ?

Personally i would stay away from limewire because many people tend to attach viruses on much of the files, some even for macs. you might also not want to use limewire because it is the most popular torrent so it is tracked like crazy my the police. They can attach Trojans onto a file and hunt you down, which is yet another reason why you should not use limewire.

If you are looking to download free music and software at vertually no risk to you are your computer, I would download a torrent for a mac such as vuze or tomato torrent (I personall like Vuze better, u can recognize it by the frog icon) and use websites like piratebay or isohunt. These websites allow you to download files using Vuze ot tomato torrent which can be dragged to your music file or directly into itunes. Its kinda confusing but if you have any questions you can just ask
